Warranty

Aluminium: 10-year warranty on chemical composition. 1-year warranty on manufacturing defects, including functionality and finish, subject to proper use and maintenance

Accesories or mechanism: 6-month warranty. Regular maintenance is required to extend their lifespan.

Glass: No warranty applies to visual defects such as scratches, breakage, stains, chips, or edge damage unless immediately evaluated and reported by the client. Inspection and tolerances will follow NTC 1909 (2019) standards.



PAYMENT TERMS

  • 60% Down payment – Material reservation 
  • 30% Work progress 
  • 10% Upon delivery

OBSERVATIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS

The following clarifications and observations are relevant to this proposal and should be considered during contracting:

  • If the client requests the removal and reinstallation of existing glass, the company is not responsible for any breakage.
  • Daytime work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Nighttime or holiday installations will have an additional charge, to be agreed upon with the client.
  • Metal structures not specified in this proposal are not included.
  • Superboard or drywall elements for finishing against the window system are not included.
  • Cover trims or additional profiles for structural imperfections are not included.
  • Galvanized sheet or steel carpentry elements not specified are not included.
  • Civil works, masonry, or repairs required for installation are not included.
  • Glass treatments or films not specified are not included.
  • Sealant application is recommended on both sides; however, the company only applies the INTERIOR SEAL. If the gap exceeds 5mm, the construction site will be responsible for sealing.
  • Painted stainless steel accessories are not covered by warranty for peeling and must be approved in writing by the client.
  • Post-sales services follow the warranty request procedure outlined in PQRS-09_Warranty Policies and Maintenance Manual. Claims must be submitted only via email at pqrs@grupocotividrios.com or by mail to Autopista Medellín-Bogotá Km 5 + 100, Bodega 3A, Copacabana-Antioquia.
  • Maintenance or dismantling services are performed without breakage liability and do not have a warranty.
  • Damage to profiles or glass caused by third-party white work activities is not the company’s responsibility
  • The buyer accepts possible color variations in anodized finishes, as per AAMA (Architectural Aluminum Manufacturers Association, USA) standards.
  • Depending on the product design, the window system includes an 8cm or 12cm frame; other frame types incur an additional cost.
  • Bioclimatic analysis is not included; if required, it will be quoted separately.

COMMERCIAL TERMS

  1. Upon approval, the agreed-upon down payment must be made.
  2. A technician will be sent to define fabrication measurements with the project supervisor.
  3. Prices may change based on final measurements.
  4. Once measurements are taken, the client must review, approve, and sign the production plans with the corresponding design.
  5. Our offer includes on-site supervision, ensuring installation follow-ups and work updates (occasionally).
  6. The project must communicate its installation priorities.
  7. Scaffolding, if required, incurs an additional cost and must be set up by the project.
  8. Production starts only after receiving the down payment and signed production plans.
  9. The client confirms that they are aware of the product specifications and designs.
  10. Manufacturing specifications follow customer requests (finishes-thicknesses) outlined in this quote.
  11. Prices include installation costs unless stated otherwise (supply-only).
  12. Modifications to designs, measurements, or additions must be requested in writing before production begins. Any changes may affect pricing and delivery times.
  13. Transportation is included within the metropolitan area; deliveries outside this area incur additional charges.
  14. If windows or glass cannot be transported via elevator or stairs, an extra charge applies.
  15. Cleaning and/or protective services are not included but can be quoted separately.

INSTALLATION CONDITIONS

  1. To expedite installation, all openings and spaces must be fully prepared; otherwise, additional charges will apply.
  2. For railings or windbreakers embedded in slabs, walls, beams, or parapets, the structure must support the required torque and pressure. The contractor must provide a 10% opening tolerance, plus 2 cm for filling space.
  3. The support structure for the window systems (concrete or metal) must be provided by the project, as window systems are non-structural elements.
  4. The project must provide electricity, water supply, and restroom access on-site.
  5. The project must designate an unloading area for materials.
  6. Upon delivery, the client must verify that the order matches the request. Any claim must be reported immediately to the transporter and noted in writing on the delivery receipt. Otherwise, GGLASS assumes no responsibility for warranty claims. 
  7. GGLASS. is not liable for damages to electrical conduits, pipes, or wall leaks caused by necessary drilling during installation.
  8. Materials delivered to the site are the client’s responsibility.
